Fulham winger Anthony Knockaert is a surprise target for Bordeaux.

The French club are looking to secure an attacker before the transfer window closes.

According to Football Insider, they are assessing the 30-year-old Knockaert, who is no longer first-choice at Fulham.

The attacker suffered injury issues last season, which led to him being phased out of manager Marco Silva's long-term plans.

Fulham are ready to let him go, while Knockaert wants to return to his native France.

The issue is that despite him only having 12 months remaining on his deal, Fulham will want a decent fee, and Bordeaux may have to sell before they can buy.
