Manchester City have announced that defender Eric Garcia has been released from hospital following a collision with his own keeper in the 3-0 win over Arsenal.

The 19-year-old Spaniard collided with Ederson late in Wednesday's Premier League victory at Etihad Stadium.

Garcia received treatment for several minutes before being carried off on a stretcher in a neck brace.

City said that he would be "monitored in the coming days ahead of a return to training and competitive action".
