Bony implores Inter Milan target Toure to remain with Man City

Wilfried Bony has urged teammate Yaya Toure to stay with Manchester City this summer.

The powerful Ivorian midfielder is being heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan but his compatriot Bony is eager for him to remain at the Etihad Stadium.

"He told me this is a big club, how we were the champions," said Bony, who joined Toure at City after signing from Swansea City for £28million in January.

"He told me it was a club that always fights - and I am always a fighter, so I liked that. He told me about the pressure... everything.

"All the time, we are talking. He knows what I think. He brought me here so he needs to stay.

"We hope he stays. He's a big player here and we know everything he is doing for the club. Look at everything he has done over the year, what an important player he has been.

"You can see his qualities, I don't need to tell you about it. He knows what he can do, everybody knows.

"For sure, everyone wants to keep him here. He's a legend for this club for sure, he always will be."
