Former Roma star Zibi Boniek says Jose Mourinho's dismissal shouldn't hurt his legacy with the club.
The Pole can understand Roma changing Mourinho for Daniele de Rossi.
He said on Tele Radio Stereo: "By changing little you can achieve a lot sometimes. We had Mourinho, the best coach of the last 20 years, but there was too much nervousness from the bench and the players felt this.
"We needed to open the door and change the atmosphere. Now it seems to me there is a different atmosphere, Daniele brought serenity and made the players believe that they are good again.
"Roma weren't that bad, now they're playing well even if the test comes with Inter. Now some players play in the role and there is healthy competition, I think of Zalewski. But I also honestly say that I don't like it when Nicola throws himself on the ground and pretends to be dead."
