Bolton's Davies envisages Uefa Cup football next season

Bolton striker Kevin Davies is confident the Wanderers can challenge for a Uefa Cup place next season. "This season we've only just pushed away from (the drop zone)," Davies told Sky Sports News.

"With the squad we've got we always feel we can push on and we want to get into the top half of the table really. That's our first goal.

"I think we can try and secure a top ten finish this year. It gives us a bit more stability building on from last year and it's something we can try and build on next year.

"We want to try and start challenging for the European places really.

"The home games are the really important ones for us. We have six left and we feel we can win all of them. Hopefully that'll encourage us to go and pick some points up away from home as well."
