Bolton Wanderers and Wolves are chasing Middlesbrough midfielder Gary O'Neil.

The Sunday Sun says O'Neil has been sidelined for the club's last two matches and seems unlikely to play for Boro again.

A clause in his £5 million transfer from Portsmouth three years ago compels the Teessiders to pay a further £1 million if O'Neil makes 100 appearances.
