Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies is convinced they have the character to beat the drop.
Saturday's 3-2 victory at Wolves made it three wins on the spin for Owen Coyle's side.
"Given the circumstances and what's happened over the last couple of weeks, we couldn't really ask for any more," striker Davies told the Bolton News. "I'd think the manager would be delighted with the response he's had from all the players, not just the ones who are starting, but everyone in the squad.
"It's all bad news at the moment. Even our physio Harry Brooke, who is a good friend of mine, lost his father a couple of days ago. But when things like that happen it does bring you closer as a club. As a unit, you gather together.
"With the manager and the staff, this is a tight-knit group and that helps at times like this. And the good news about Fab making a recovery has given everyone such a huge lift.
"We're doing it for him now but also for our own families and the football club."
