Coyle reckons the former Blackburn and Southampton striker, 33, still has time to join the likes of Gary Speed, Ryan Giggs and Sol Campbell in reaching the 500 milestone.

Coyle said: "I would think Kevin is in the reckoning for England.

"He is 33 and there's many more years left in him.

"It's astonishing and it's all credit to him for the way he looks after himself."
