Bolton's Knight happy to carry the burden if Cahill leaves

Bolton defender Zat Knight says he is happy to carry the burden if fellow centre-half Gary Cahill happens to leave the club.

Cahill has become a target for bigger clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool but Knight says it will not be an enormous loss if he does leave the Reebok Stadium, especially as it would help further his career.

"Not taking anything away from Gaz, we will miss him, but we have shown we can go on without him," he told the Bolton News.

"I'm sure there are people saying, 'stay here' or, 'go there,' but Gaz is a young lad and it would be a great experience to go to a big club, if one did come in for him and I think they will."
