Bolton's Holden hoping to be back this season

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden is eyeing a late season return from a broken leg.

The Scottish-born USA international has been out for just over a month after sustaining the injury whilst on international duty against Holland but is targeting a comeback to try and help the club remain in the top flight this season.

"It's actually progressed well, so I'm looking to start running, jogging next week and then getting full blast toward the end of the week and then hopefully back in full training in two weeks," he told the club's official website.

"I have to start training and build up a bit of fitness again, but I think I've targeted in my own mind the last two games - Tottenham away and Birmingham at home.

"Those are two games I'm looking to play in and help contribute and hopefully we're safe by that point and building for next season."
