Bolton remain in hunt for Celtic midfielder Kayal

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is determined to prise Beram Kayal away from Celtic.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon is eager to keep hold of his star player - and is set to increase his £7,000-a-week wages despite him only being 12 months into a four-year deal.

The Bolton News says Wanderers scouts watched Kayal and his Hoops team-mate Emilio Izaguirre, the Honduran left-back, regularly at Parkhead last season.

The Reebok boss sees the tough-tackling ace as the perfect foil to Stuart Holden in the centre of midfield once the American returns to full fitness. But the Glasgow giants would want at least £7m to let the former Maccabi Haifa player leave the SPL club.
