Bolton have pulled off a major signing, securing Martin Petrov on a free transfer from Manchester City.
The Bulgaria international has agreed terms with the club and officially become a Trotter on July 1 after spending the past three years at Eastlands.
Petrov netted 12 times in 66 appearances in an injury-interrupted spell with City and Bolton managed to clinch the 31-year old despite interest from Premiership rivals Everton, West Ham and Aston Villa.
"Bolton Wanderers have agreed terms with Bulgarian international Martin Petrov. The left-sided midfielder will join the Whites on a Bosman on Jul 1," read a statement from the club.
