Bolton Wanderers club doctor Dr Jonathan Tobin has said that Fabrice Muamba told him he was feeling 'fine' on Tuesday night.
The 23-year old midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch on Saturday and has been recovering in hospital since but is now making good progress in his rehabilitation.
Dr Tobin went to see Muamba at the London Chest Hospital on Tuesday evening and has revealed that the former U21 England international is doing well.
"I went to see Fabrice last night. I went in and he said 'Hi, doc.'
"I asked him how he was and he said 'Fine'.
"I explained to him what had happened," he added.
"That's the sort of level of communication I have had with Fabrice.""I'm glad to say that the early signs of recovery have continued," he said.
