Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside is tightlipped over fresh reports of Celtic and Rangers seeking to join the Premiership.
It was Gartside, whose idea of a two-tier Premier League system incorporating both Rangers and Celtic had started the tongues wagging furiously on this matter several months ago. The subject may yet be discussed at an EPL board meeting next month, but for now Gartside appears to be keeping his thoughts to himself. A call to the club yesterday to see if he could be drawn out of his shell was, alas, unsuccessful.
"There is no plan for the chairman to say any more at this stage. Email us your details and we'll add you to the list," said a Wanderers spokesman to The Herald.
