Bolton boss Megson ready to push through striker signing plans

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson hopes to land a new striker before the summer market shuts.

"When the transfer window first opens, it's a seller's market - as it starts to close it's a buyer's market," he said. "Football is always about two issues, the football and the finance, and there isn't any football at the end of May when everyone starts looking around for players.

"Now people have to play each weekend but they also know that once that window closes they can't sell anyone. I think you'll start to see people being a bit more realistic about fees and the names of those players they want to sell will start to come out."
