Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle admits he fears the sack.

Coyle, under pressure himself with his side in the bottom three, has total sympathy with the axed Steve Bruce.

But he said: "I think we all know the nature of football.

"This is the best league in the world but with global coverage comes intense scrutiny and a desire to stay in the league.

"We are never going to say it's fair but we understand how it works.

"It's something you have to deal with and take on the chin."
