Bolton boss Coyle: Fans understand what I am trying to do

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is delighted with the response of Trotters fans this season.

Coyle says the response from fans has inspired his players this term.

He told Wanderers Player: "We've drawn three of those games, but they have all been tough ones. The level of the performances has been fantastic and what we have to do now is carry on it that vein.

"If we can turn those draws into wins then we will catapult ourselves into the top half of the table. We are only a point away from it as it is and we know that we should probably now have a minimum of 12 points now, given the way we have played.

"But that has passed us by and we can't affect that. What we can affect is what is in front of us and when we come back then we have a big game at home against Stoke, which we have to look to get maximum points from.

"As players and managers you want to have a game all the time because we love our job and we love being at this football club.

"We have had an unbelievable backing from the supporters and when we all come together, which we have to do, then it is a tremendous sight to see.

"The fans know that they have a manager which is desperate to deliver them a team that is entertaining and can win games, and they see a set of players that is giving every ounce of effort and showing quality on the ball.

"On the other hand, we see an unbelievable support that is spending a lot of money to follow us. They have given us plenty of vocal backing on a lot of away trips.

"Both of the cup ties were away from home so we've had six games away and three at the Reebok since the start of the season. The backing in those games has been incredible.

"When you think back to the Manchester United game, then that home support was invaluable and we need that to keep coming. We need the fans to keep coming along, keep being vocal and help make the Reebok a difficult place for teams to come to."
