Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle says pundits write them off at their peril.

Coyle admits the predicament is serious and that he is hurting.

But he also said: "If people are writing us off because we've gone to Chelsea and lost, then good on them. If they write us off they will give us more motivation to go and address the situation we're in.

"We don't enjoy being second bottom but I also know it's only a point from safety.

"We have got enough games to do it and we've got young players who are getting better.

"We know our fate is in our own hands. We have good enough, young enough players to address that and that's what we'll focus on.

"But there has got to be that mental strength when things go against you."
