Bologna sporting director Marco di Vaio insists they're counting on Thiago Motta next season.

Di Vaio said, “I'd say that Thiago Motta has one year left in his contract and will remain with us. We want to continue with him.
"In Motta, I had seen a capable coach with great organisation.
“The work on the pitch is crucial for him and this has given him credibility. This team has values and an idea of football. Motta always wants to improve, he involves everyone and is incredibly humble.
“I think that both he and the club are intrigued to see how this season ends. We have great challenges and we believe we can play on par with everyone..
“We'll talk about everything at the end of the season, he knows everyone appreciates him. He says that he's happy in Bologna, and he's a reliable person."
