Bologna coach Thiago Motta was delighted after victory over Atalanta.

Lewis Ferguson proved the matchwinner on the day.

Motta later said: "Very complicated match even considering the week we came from. Today we faced a very strong team, which doesn't let you play and which makes you frustrated.

"In the first half they played a lot on our mistakes. They are a very complete team and thinking about this we must consider our victory as a victory of the heart. The choice of Lucumì and Calafiori was also due to the fact that Kristiansen had a bit of a problem of fever during the week and Ykogiannis had played the entire match against Inter.
