Bologna coach Thiago Motta says his players left him feeling "fantastic" after their 2-2 draw with AC Milan.

Josh Zirkzee had Bologna ahead before Ruben Loftus-Cheek's brace was canceled out by Riccardo Orsolini. Milan also twice failed from the spot via Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez.

Motta said: “I feel fantastic, because I love it when these lads play to win all the way through. I will not talk about the referee, if someone has to do it then it will be our director Giovanni Sartori.

“If Sartori does not speak, then evidently everything is fine as it is.

“We wanted to win the game from the first minute, the lads had such enthusiasm, worked collectively both attacking and defending. I am proud to work with these lads.

“Zirkzee had an enormous performance, but so did all his teammates, it is hard to single anyone out. It's a pity, as I leave here with a strange sensation after the draw, we did everything to win."
