Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic insists they were worthy victors against Cagliari on Monday night.

Mihajlovic later said: "We played the game we had to play, we knew they would close down and we needed great patience.

“In the first half we were a bit slow and we didn't attack the depth. In the second half we knew that sooner or later we would score, there was a great play by Marko, and I think the win was deserved because we risked a bit.

“They only had the Lykogiannis shot at the end, we scored two goals, hit the post and had more chances. The important thing is to not concede a goal, because sooner or later we score one up front."

He added: "In my opinion, the team deserves a few more points, at least four, and I hope they can recover them during the season.
