Boca Juniors midfielder Lucas Castroman has confirmed he rejected a move to Birmingham City.

"I decided for many reasons to reject Birmingham," he explained. "It was not influenced by money because economically in England I would have been better off.

"I am in a team now, where I have always dreamed of. When they asked me to join Boca I didn't hesitate, I respect the other clubs I played for, especially Velez, who I did my best for when I was there, but Boca is Boca."
