Boca Juniors vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme is personally driving a move for Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.
The 34 year-old has a deal to the end of the season with United, though there is the option for another 12 months.
However, United are dragging their feet in entering talks about a new contract and Ole says Boca are watching developments closely.
Riquelme and Cavani are close and the Argentine great is hoping to tempt the centre-forward back to South America this summer.
For his part, Cavani favours staying at Old Trafford, but is frustrated by the delays over new contract negotiations.
