Blackpool's Sylvestre: Barcelona's Messi was always going to be big!

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was destined to make it from his early days says Blackpool midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre.

Sylvestre was at the Nou Camp back in 2005 when the Argentine ace was just a teenager and he said he could see it then that Messi was set to make it big.

"Yeah of course. I said to one of my friends that watching Messi was like a dream. I said you will see a player, Messi, become one of the best players in the world," he told tribalfootball.com when asked what he thought of the star.

"He was very good back then because he was even younger (than the rest of the squad) and it was just like 'wow!'."

Messi is currently preparing for this Saturday's Champions League final against Manchester United which Sylvestre feels that the Catalan giants will win.
