English Championship club Blackpool are running the rule over American forward Freddy Adu.
The former teen prodigy is a free agent after ending his contract with Brazilian club Bahia late last year and is now training with the Seasiders.
Interim Blackpool boss Barry Ferguson confirmed the club was casting an eye over the 24-year old attacker who has had previous stints with Benfica, Monaco and Caykur Rizespor after bursting onto the MLS scene with DC United as a 15-year old in 2004.
"Freddy is just over to train and I'm going to have a look at him. That's as far as it goes at the moment," he told the Blackpool Gazette.
"He's not played in two months and he's just come back from Brazil. We'll see how he does in training."
