Blackpool manager Paul Ince hopes son Tom remains at the club this season.
The 21-year old winger has been a target for a number of Premier League outfits this summer but recently turned down a move to Cardiff City to stay at Bloomfield Road.
Ince's father Paul does not have a lot of depth in his Seasiders squad at present and is desperate to hold onto the England U21 international following their 1-0 loss to Preston North End in the first round of the Capital One Cup on Monday night.
"It would be nice. It would be nice to keep him, obviously," the former Liverpool and Manchester United midfielder told Sky Sports.
"He's a quality player and there has been plenty of interest for him, but it just shows how thin we were on the ground today."
