Blackpool boss Holloway: I could not tolerate Man City egos

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway admits he'd struggle to tolerate the egos inside Manchester City's dressing room.

The Seasiders make the trip to Eastlands today and Holloway insists he would never want to swap places with counterpart Roberto Mancini.

He explained: "I would hate to have some fella who is not in my team or who I bring off treat me like that.

"I would try to fight them or knock them out. Some of the ones I see, I would not want them, on their money and their contracts, anywhere near me.

"And some of these players think they are better than they are, and think they can get a manager the sack.

"I don't like that. I like stability, I like the power to be in the right place. The tail should not wag the dog.

"If you look at all the stable clubs - the Manchester Uniteds, the Arsenals, and the Bayern Munichs - they have built and built, and got tradition.

"Players at those clubs know who the manager is and know what is going to happen. They have to toe the line, and if they don't they get bombed out. That is how it should be.

"No one gets instant football like you get instant coffee. Football is not coffee. You have to work at it. You have to grow the bean, grind it.

"There is a process you have to follow. You don't just go out and buy it from a supermarket.

"So I wouldn't want City's cash. It is quite obscene at times."
