Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is ready to take a gamble on released Blackburn Rovers attacker El Hadji Diouf.
The Mirror says Holloway is making a shock bid to sign Diouf - to inspire his promotion bid and give the controversial star a new start.
Diouf is a free agent after being paid off by Blackburn, and the Seasiders have approached him with a package that could be worth around £14,000-a-week.
The Senegalese ace was hoping for a Premier League club or a move away from the UK, but instead Holloway's Championship outfit have emerged as the leading contenders for his signature.
