Blackpool's Head of Youth Gary Parkinson says they're making strides in improving the club's setup.
A new intake of first-year scholars has helped the side record impressive performances against the likes of Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Crewe.
Parkinson told the club's website: "It's not a quick fix, it takes time and takes a lot of hard work and commitment. But we're trying to put the right things in place, we're starting with the young age groups of eight and nine and work it up from there. The signs are good but it's going to be two or three years down the line before those come to fruition. We've got short-term goals and long-term goals as well."
