Blackburn Rovers winger David Bentley is edging closer to a move to Tottenham.

The People says Bentley will be hoping Paul Robinson's switch to Blackburn will trigger his dream move to Tottenham.

Former England goalkeeper Robinson moved to Ewood Park on Friday in a £3.5million deal, and the 24-year-old is praying the clubs are ready to do business again this week.

Bentley, rated at £17m, has not travelled with Rovers to their training camp in Germany.

The clubs are set to agree a fee for the midfielder, and that will dash Liverpool's hopes of landing him.
