Blackburn's Bentley desperate to catch Capello eye

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley admits he's keen to break into Fabio Capello's new-look England squad.

The midfielder, tipped by many as David Beckham's successor as dead-ball specialist, told the Daily Star: "I don't worry myself about whether or not I get called up by England; I just want to keep performing well and keep enjoying my football and my life.

"If you are enjoying your football it should go hand in hand with playing for England.

"If the call does come, it comes, otherwise I will get my head down and keep performing," Bentley added.
