Chesterfield have snapped up Blackburn Rovers youngster Ryan Edwards on loan.

The 19-year old centre-back will spend the next month with the Spireites in League Two and was welcomed by assistant manager Leam Richardson.

"Ryan has bags of potential and we think he's going to develop into a brilliant player," he told the club's official website.

"We're looking forward to seeing him in a Chesterfield shirt."
