Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen can understand Tottenham's Gareth Bale wanting to play in the Olympics for Great Britain.
Norway face Wales this weekend.
"Bale is fantastic, he had a fantastic season last year, especially in the Champions League and he will be tough to stop," said Pedersen.
"They have been doing well and they have strong players."
Much of the build-up to the match has centred on Bale and Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey's desire to play for Team GB in next year's Olympics, with the pair recently being used in promotional images for a supporters' shirt despite the Football Association of Wales not wanting their players to be involved.
And Pedersen admits he is slightly bemused by the furore.
"If I had the opportunity to play in the Olympics I would love it," he said. "It's a big achievement.
"It's nothing against Wales, it's just them showing support for the home nation."
