And if Sherwood eventually returns to Ewood Park, he will also be given a substantial budget for the January transfer window.
An Ewood Park source told the Daily Star Sunday: "The club are having a real go now.
"The owners can't be seen to fail.
"Pride is involved - and back in India they really can't be seen to lose face.
"They are ready to throw a lot of money at getting it right this season.
"They have already shown their intentions by paying midfielder Danny Murphy and striker Jordan Rhodes Premier League wages.
"They are both on around £40,000 a week."
