Blackburn's Jones set for return

Blackburn Rovers young gun Phil Jones is set to return to action quicker than expected.

The 18-year old is recovering from knee surgery after tearing the cartilage in his right knee in December but he could be back within a month.

"He's coming on quicker than we thought," Rovers boss Steve Kean told the club's official website.

"Hopefully in three or four weeks he'll be available for selection. That is another great boost.

"He was unfortunate to pick up the injury that he had, but he's a young man and he's healing quickly and that is something we are really looking forward to, getting him back in the fold."
