Blackburn Rovers are ready to deal in Camel Meriem.

The Mirror says Meriem is ready to take a short-team deal to make his dream move to Blackburn Rovers go through - in time to help Sam Allardyce's wafer-thin squad.

French free agent Meriem - a classy midfielder from Monaco - has accepted a contract until the end of the season because he thinks he can play his way into a longer stay.

Meriem, who is going through a medical at Ewood Park, wanted a full-time switch but Rovers are short of transfer funds and he is taking a gamble.
