Blackburn Rovers are in negotiations with Leeds United to sign Joe Gelhardt on loan.
The youngster has started one Premier League game all season, which was the 5-2 loss to Brentford in September.
Signed from Wigan Athletic three years ago, Gelhardt is desperate for regular game time.
The Lancashire Telegraph claims Rovers are hoping to secure a deal for Gelhardt this winter.
If a deal is to be done, Leeds would have to pay part of Gelhardt's wages.
Despite a deal being possible, Leeds coach Jesse Marsch may involve Gelhardt in the starting line-up for their FA Cup clash against Cardiff City this week.
