Blackburn Rovers are in no hurry to strengthen their attack despite being linked with Bayern Munich frontman Roque Santa Cruz.

The 25-year-olds agent has indicated a move to the Premier League would suit his client.

His agent Jan Van Baal said: "There has been interest from some clubs in Roque, but nothing concrete.

"At this stage it looks like he will leave Bayern Munich, but nothing is settled.

"His first choice if he moves would be England.

"The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world and it is a big dream of Roque's to play there."

Rovers though are in no rush to boost their forward line before the transfer deadline at the end of August.

Chairman John Williams said: "We are aware of a number of strikers that might be available and we are monitoring the situation, but we are in no hurry. It's a case of waiting to see how things develop."
