Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire is a surprise target for Blackburn Rovers.
The Daily Mail says Rovers are lining up a move for Maguire this month.
The 22-year-old is regarded as one for the future but is out of contract in the summer and Blackburn want to strike a deal now ahead of interest from other clubs.
Aberdeen would demand compensation as the player is under 24 and a deal of around £400,000 for the Scotland Under 21 international may be struck.
