Blackburn Rovers have made contact with sacked Chelsea coach Henk ten Cate.
De Telegraaf says Blackburn have sounded out Ten Cate's agent, Sigi Lens, in the last 24 hours as they seek a replacement for new Manchester City manager Mark Hughes.
However, Ten Cate is ready to take the top job at Panathinaikos after Michael Laudrup dropped out of the running this week.
