Chimbonda's former Wigan Athletic manager Paul Chimbonda wants the Frenchman to join him at Portman Road.

The defender pulled out of a £500,000 move to QPR earlier this week.

The 31-year-old Blackburn defender has been training on his own after manager Steve Kean stood by a decision made by his predecessor Sam Allardyce that Chimbonda has no future at Ewood Park.
