Blackburn defender Kilgallon: Liverpool midfielder Henderson proving Sir Alex wrong

Blackburn Rovers defender Matt Kilgallon says Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson is proving Sir Alex Ferguson wrong.

Ferguson famously claimed in his book that he rejected signing Henderson for Manchester United because of his "gait".

Kilgallon played with Henderson at Sunderland and they faced off in yesterday's FA Cup stalemate.

"He's a good lad," Kilgallon said. "You could see then at Sunderland that he was a player in the making. His vision, he's as fit as a butcher's dog and runs all day.

"He's up and down that pitch at Anfield and making them really tick at the minute. I heard Sir Alex Ferguson questioned the way he ran or something.

"I wouldn't argue with him. He may have had that when he was a bit younger but everyone runs a bit funny, when they're a lanky 17-year-old. He's filled out now."
