Blackburn caretaker Kean admits Ronaldinho chances now diminishing

Blackburn Rovers caretaker boss Steve Kean believes the chances of signing Ronaldinho have receded.

Rovers owners had stated they offered the Brazilian ace a three-year deal worth £20million.

Venky's chairwoman Anuradha Desai said: "I'm quite positive and hopeful. From what we understand, he is keen to play in the Premier League."

But Kean, who hopes to make several January signings, admitted: "Over the last 24 to 48 hours it has become less likely. I don't think this is one that was for publicity. It was a genuine contact, a genuine intent."
