Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean was pleased with Mauro Formica's performance in defeat to Wolves.
Formica made his Barclays Premier League debut in the opening day match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and although Rovers lost 2-1, the manager was happy with the impression he made.
"Mauro is a quality player, he finds space really well," said Kean on Radio Rovers.
"I felt for him a little bit as he tired towards the end, but in the first half he found great space and scored a very good goal.
"He's a tough little character for a man that is all skin and bone and I'm glad that he's got his goal."
