Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean intends to deliver Benjani Mwaruwari an improved contract offer.

Kean has revealed he will improve the offer and hopes the striker will join up with them in Hong Kong.

"It was a bit of a breakdown in communications," Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"But I've spoken to him now and hopefully we'll have a new offer we can go forward with."
