Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince is delighted to see former England teammate Tony Adams named new Portsmouth manager.
Ince said: "Hopefully he'll do well. It's good, another English manager in the Premier League, and I wish him all the best."
Ince is also positive about the increasing number of English managers in the top flight.
"It's got to be a good thing," he said. "The bottom line is we want to have an English international (England) manager, we don't want to have to keep looking overseas. If you've got four or five in the Premier League, you've got more choice next time when Capello goes."
Chelsea number two Ray Wilkins believes Adams will be able to make the transition successfully having worked under Redknapp.
"He had a little bash at Wycombe but I wish him all the best of luck at Portsmouth," Wilkins said.
"It is a lovely job for him to take on. Harry has shown him the ropes so I don't think there will be a problem for Tony. I am delighted for him."
