Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is ready to test Bolton's resolve with a bid for Kevin Davies.

The People says Bolton have already told Hull City to forget about a move for Davies.

But Blackburn's interest is a bigger threat because Allardyce has cash to spend and he also has a great bond with the player he picked off the scrapheap.

Davies signed a new deal at the Reebok a year ago, but that will not stop Allardyce making his move in the next few weeks.
