Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is delighted with his strikers Jason Roberts and Benni McCarthy.

"They've been brilliant, five goals in three matches from your two strikers," Allardyce told the Rovers website.

"And with your supposedly best striker out injured, wonderful, I'm absolutely delighted about that.

"It could have been a lot more if they had a bit more luck. But it gives us great encouragement that given the right service into those two they'll score.

"The players should register very quickly that the more we play off those two players the more chances we've got of scoring goals and the more we can enjoy ourselves by getting more and more victories hopefully."
