Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is confident Paul Robinson will again play for England.

"You don't play 41 times for England and command a place at a club challenging the top four without being a very good goalkeeper," said Allardyce.

"I don't think he got much help when thing started to go wayward for him. From my point of view, it's about eradicating those memories and making sure he comes out a better 'keeper.

"He should be thinking about getting his England place back as quickly as he can - although his focus needs to be on Blackburn."
